Thank you to our 2017 Sponsors

November 15,2017

It is mid-November which means 2017 is drawing to a close. We have had an exciting year. We grew to 101 global athletes racing to raise awareness of pulmonary hypertension. The US Team raced over 7,400 miles, crushing our 2016 mileage. And we had racers in Germany, Brazil, and Mexico – adding even more mileage to our overall total.

Our team had over three dozen #LetMeBeYourLungs matches – where our athletes raced specifically for a person living with pulmonary hypertension.

We formed a coalition with partners at phaware.global, Gilead, Reata Pharmaceuticals, and Blue Lips Foundation. Together we donated and raised funds that allowed us to make direct donations totaling $40,000 to those living with PH who were impacted by hurricanes Harvey in Houston, Irma in Florida, and Maria in Puerto Rico.

Our publishing platform has also been active: so far in 2018, we have published over 90 total awareness blog posts, race reports from our athletes, and stories about Living with PH. All this on our new and massively improved website, built to engage visitors in the Stories of PH and programming we offer.

Also, our fundraising athletes and additional event fundraisers raised $80,000 this year, which will be held in reserve and used for our PHenomenal Impact Fund for Global PH Research. This fund will be used to award a medical research grant that hopefully moves us closer to finding improved treatments or a cure for PH.

What a year!

We could not have done any of this without the gracious and ongoing support of our sponsors.

We wish to thank:

Thank you to each of you, who have contributed so generously. Together, our valued sponsors have helped to grow our abilities and reach, to allow us to continue raising awareness of pulmonary hypertension, to grow funds for a medical research grant, and to work to improve the quality of life for those living with PH today.
