Let’s defeat PH – When you run with us and ask your family and friends to donate, you’ll be helping us raise funds to support PH research and patients. We need to continue our race against this disease for which although there are treatments there is still no cure. To fight back, we are using this year’s event to build a PHenomenal Impact fund at Team PHenomenal Hope that will allow us to do incredible work to directly help the PH community by supporting research and patient needs.

We’re racing with the PH community – Announcing the Let Me Be Your Lungs campaign. This year with the Pittsburgh marathon, we’re announcing our campaign to connect with the community. Race with us and you not only race for your personal record, but you’ll race for someone who lives with pulmonary hypertension. This personal connection means that you’re not only racing for your own personal record, but directly for a special member of our community.

A HUGE goal – Help us fund research to find a cure for PH! The Pittsburgh Marathon will be our second event to launch a fundraising campaign to build the PHenomenal Impact fund. Team PHenomenal Hope is raising funds to start pilot grants to help fund investigators who are looking to understand and knock out this disease, once and for all. And we need all the help we can get. Our goal is to raise $50,000 in 2016 and start funding grants by next year. So let’s do this – together we can race to make a difference.
