Chris Field comes to Team PHenomenal Hope with a background in nonprofit sector work, technology, and entrepreneurial development. Chris is professionally trained as a public services librarian, having worked in the UNC system for several years before returning to his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has worked in the technology sector wth IBM Global Services and for The Rand Corporation’s Health Research Program. He has started three companies, including the Web Communications Group and Fort Pitt Web Shop, and developed programs to assist with professional development, including Entrepreneurs in Training (a mentorship collaboration with Duquesne University). In his free time, Chris serves as Senior Warden on his church’s volunteer board and as Treasurer for his daughter’s elementary school PTA. He enjoys family time, fishing, and gardening.
Katie Werner joins Team Phenomenal Hope with a background in nonprofit development. While earning her Bachelor’s degree at Ball State University in east central Indiana, Katie fell in love with the nonprofit sector interning in the development department at the Second Harvest Food Bank. Soon after graduating with a degree in public relations and marketing, Katie moved to Chicagoland and began working at the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, Midwest Chapter as the development manager. During her time at PHA, Katie grew an irrevocable connection with the PH community, and a desire to work toward a cure. Katie delights in traveling with her husband, reading, and swimming.
