Unmet Needs Patient Impact Fund Update
Update
Since the beginning of September, Team PH has continued to provide assistance to those in hurricane disaster areas of the United States and Puerto Rico through our Unmet Needs Patient Impact Fund program. This emergency grant is meant to assist those with pulmonary hypertension in the communities affected by hurricane devastation.
Between our Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, and Hurricane Maria efforts, a total of $38,000 was made available to assist those in the areas of Houston, Florida, and Puerto Rico affected by the hurricanes. So far we have awarded $36,000 to applicants.
Our friends at phaware.global, Blue Lips Foundation, and Reata Pharmaceuticals made this possible.
We are now thrilled to have our friends at Gilead Sciences support the Unmet Needs Patient Impact Fund as well through a donation of $10,000. This will allow us to help 20 additional applicants, bringing our total of patients assisted to 80.
We will continue to review applications to this fund until funds are depleted.
