One of the most exciting days in an athlete’s season is New Kit Day. After all the planning, hype and excitement, the box comes in the mail, and inside it lies the uniform, the new kit, the symbol that one is part of something greater than our individual selves, part of a team. Part of something where we work together, all over the country and all around the world, to do our part in this PH race.

When you wear the Team PH uniform it means you’re a part of the team, you’re in this with us, promoting PH awareness and being a living symbol of using your sport/hobby/passion to race to make a difference in the lives of others. It means you share the positive vibe, and have courage to put yourself out there, to answer questions when people ask, “What is Team PHenomenal Hope?”

The kit is a symbol of our grassroots awareness efforts, as athletes toe the starting line, or gather for a training ride, it is common to get a question “What is Team PHenomenal Hope?” And that simple question allows us to say, “We’re a team of athletes all over the US and all around the world, who use our sport to raise awareness about pulmonary hypertension, which is a chronic disease that makes people short of breath, often goes long undiagnosed, and for which we need a cure.”

This year we’re super excited to be working with Panache, our Boulder-based clothing partner, in producing our official clothing.

You’ll see a new design and new symbols. So what do these mean?

On the front and back, in the center you’ll see our logo, Team PHenomenal Hope with the lightning bolt. We choose bold colors of blue and gold with purple, strong colors that resonate with the PH community.

You’ll also see prominently featured the Actelion logo, our presenting sponsor, and Bayer, our Gold level sponsor, two extremely strong corporate partners whose generosity and energy help power Team PH forward.

On the sides of the kits you’ll see our Let Me Be Your Lungs campaign and logo, in a prominent position as athletes race their bikes or run past crowds in races. Finally, on the back you’ll find the logo of the dove, our symbol to honor those we’ve lost to PH. We have all been touched by losses of friends and family members, and we continue in our race – and in our lives – in tribute to them.

So we invite you to join us in spirit and wear our kit!
